Fleet management technology delivers good news, too

Growth is a good thing, right?

When a fleet has reached a certain size, some landscapers choose to adopt a fleet management solution. While some crew members might be concerned about having a “Big Brother” watching their every move, there are plenty of benefits to tracking fleets.

The information collected at the end of the day can help managers determine where to improve operations, customer satisfaction and safety.

Fleetmatics, one of the providers of fleet management technology, conducted a year-long study of 35,000 customers to see which industries and states had the most and least severe driving incidents.

The lawn and garden industry was among the industries with the safest fleet drivers. The safety factors included harsh braking and accelerating, sharp turns and speeding over 80 miles per hour.

Here’s an infographic of what Fleetmatics gathered.
