Single-serve coffee is a swiftly growing category but one that has been limited to the home and office – until now. Jim Doan, an entrepreneur in Grand Rapids, Michigan, designed a rugged “K-cup” coffee brewer and  has now launched the product: CoffeeBoxx.

Doan’s company, OXX, says the CoffeeBoxx is engineered with a crush-proof body and impact-resistant materials, and is the first coffee brewer certified to be dust and waterproof. The brewing machine has been field tested in extreme conditions and passed all areas of durability and resistance, according to OXX.

It’s compatible with all K-cup style pods and boasts a spill-proof 84.5-ounze water tank, which OXX says is the largest in the industry. The CoffeeBoxx is portable, weighing only 11 pounds, with a rubberized handle and retractable cord.

“OXX has designed the CoffeeBoxx with the construction worker in mind,” Doan said.
