It’s National ‘Healthy Turf. Healthy Kids.’ Awareness Week

Project EverGreen is reminding its green industry supporters they should give themselves a public pat on the back – especially during “Health Turf. Healthy Kids.” Awareness Week – for getting behind the program.

Project-Evergreen-healthy-turf-healthy-kidsNeedless to say, the nonprofit organization would love to attract more support from landscaping companies in the process.

Project EverGreen’s “Healthy Turf. Healthy Kids.” initiative facilitates the voluntary renovation and revitalization of athletic and recreational green spaces to ensure children have access to safe, well-maintained surfaces on which to play and exercise. Landscaping companies from around the country have participated in the program’s first year of projects.

As the initiative enters its second year, Project EverGreen is marking National “Healthy Turf. Healthy Kids.” Awareness Week July 10-16.

Project EverGreen has put together an online tool box to help landscaping companies promote their support for, and involvement with, “Healthy Turf. Healthy Kids.”

Here’s what you’ll find in the tool box:

  • Tips on how to promote the “Healthy Turf. Healthy Kids.” initiative to local media and civic organizations.
  • A customizable news release to distribute to the local media.
  • A promotional video (below) to add to your company’s website, Facebook page and Twitter account.
  • Social media posts and logos.
  • A new “Healthy Turf. Healthy Kids.” infographic.
