SnowEx has broadened its line of snowplows with the addition of a professional-grade V-plow for utility vehicles(UTVs).

Measuring a full 6 feet wide, the plow blade angles to 5 feet wide to fit most sidewalks and through gates. Two width settings cover the optimal tire track width on a range of popular UTVs.

Configuring the plow to straight blade position, V position and “Bucket Blade” scoop position allows users to adjust to the situation at hand.

The UTV plow blade is made of high-strength, low-alloy steel components that are stronger and lighter than regular steel, according to SnowEx. It’s also reinforced with six vertical ribs for additional stability.

The 5-inch hardened steel cutting edge has built-in trip-edge protection; it will trip in any position without losing the snow load.

SnowEx says the “Powercoat” finish gives the plow durability and provides maintenance-free protection.

Operators can choose between the “Power Grip” hand-held control with backlit buttons or a compact joystick control that is easily manipulated when wearing gloves. The plow can be angled with the touch of a button. Both controls feature power “on” and float LED lights and are compatible with SnowEx “Fleet Flex,” an electrical system that provides fleet interchangeability between other SnowEx plows.

The hydraulic system is robust, the company says, and standard double-acting cylinders allow the operator to independently move each wing, or lock them together for efficient straight blade operation and back dragging. A tough poly cover protects hydraulic components, while allowing easy access for maintenance.

SnowEx UTV V-Plow accessories include wing extensions, shoe assemblies and deflector kits.

BOSS Snowplow has added a 5.5-foot wide XT V-plow for midsize UTVs and ATVs to its line. Along with its durability, the company says the new BOSS plow features exceptional ground clearance for hard-to-reach places and tough terrain.

The fully hydraulic system delivers maximum efficiency with no winches, chains or pulleys, BOSS says.

“The 5-foot, 6-inch XT has a 30-degree lift height for superior snow-stacking,” said Mark Klossner, marketing vice president for BOSS Snowplow.

BOSS says its ATV and UTV snowplows have the same tough features as those designed for truck plows.

The 5-foot, 6-inch XT was designed to fit most ATV and midsize UTV vehicles, according to Boss, which is a Toro brand. The plow has a low-profile undercarriage designed for trail compatibility and a quick attachment system.
