Casella has set new industry standards with the Airwave App, which the company says is the only kind in the world providing remote access of noise dosimeters and personal air sampling pumps.
The app is available for download on both Android and IOS devices, and Casella’s latest products— including the dBadge2 personal noise dosimeter and the Apex2 personal dust sampling pump— are supported by the Airwave App.
Enabling users to remotely start, pause or stop a measurement run, the Airwave App can monitor battery life and memory capacity and check measurement progress direct from a mobile device without having to disturb the worker. Casella says this ultimately improves productivity levels.
Data can be emailed with photos and notes, which Casella says adds context to the data and further simplifies the reporting process; this remote access facility, the company says, makes monitoring and collecting data much easier.
Allowing accurate and reliable monitoring of exposure to dust in a variety of industrial workplaces, the Apex2 personal sampling pump range, the Apex2 Plus and the Apex2 Pro features different functionality to meet varying requirements.
With information available for subsequent download and analysis, the dBadge2 personal noise dosimeter measures every possible noise exposure related parameter during a measurement run. The company says it ultimately allows the industrial hygienist to assess risk or recommended control measures.
Both the Apex2 and dBadge2 are designed to be unobtrusive to the wearer and the tasks they are performing, according to the company, and if a worker does remove the pump, it’s registered by a motion sensor to ensure that the final data is correct.
