DR Power Equipment, a professional-grade outdoor power equipment manufacturer that targets various property maintenance applications, has several new products that it is debuting at GIE+EXPO this week while in Louisville, Kentucky.

The three main products that DR Power Equipment is highlighting are its new DR PRO-26 field and brush mower, the DR PILOT trimmer/mower, and the DR PILOT tow-behind leaf and lawn vacuum.

The PRO-26 model of the field and brush mower is an extension of DR Power Equipment’s field and brush mower line. The main feature to note on this model is the addition on power steering, which was previously only available on the higher-tier PRO XL and PRO MAX models.

Using a disc brake system, each wheel has its own brake, which is operated by a hand lever. Landscapers can squeeze the lever on one side, allowing the mower to pivot better.

“Our field and brush mowers get used in rugged terrain, so maneuverability is particularly important to our customers,” said Matt Bieber, president of DR Power Equipment. “Adding power steering made our popular PRO-26 unit even easier to use. So everyone from homeowners to landscapers will be able to finish their mowing projects faster and with less effort.”

Powered by a 14.5-horsepower Briggs & Stratton Intek engine with electric start enables the brush mower to cut through saplings as thick as 2.5 inches. The 26-inch deck pivots so it can contour to hilly terrain and can operate on 20-degree slopes thanks to the full-pressure oil pump.

The PRO-26 has a geared transmission with three forward speeds and one reverse. Operators can lock their ground speeds and focus on maneuvering difficult terrain. The field and brush mower also has the DR quick-change coupling system that allows the brush mowing deck to be switched out with other optional attachments such as a 30-inch snow thrower, wood chipper, or 42-inch grader blade.

The new PRO-26 field and brush mower has an MSRP of $2,499.99

The PILOT trimmer/mower DR Power Equipment is showing off at GIE+EXPO 2017 is designed to be an entry-level unit that is lightweight and affordable.

“Designing and manufacturing trimmer/mowers is where we started as a brand, and we’ve learned from consumers that they really value maneuverability,” Bieber said. “That means a small footprint. At only 55 lbs. the new PILOT trimmer/mower is two pounds lighter than the PREMIER model – which had been out lightest unit – while still offering the same 22-inch cutting width and offset mow deck that makes it easy to trim along walls and fences.”

The PILOT trimmer/mower comes with five cutting heights and uses 175 mil cutting cords. Its wide-body trimmer head is designed to prevent vegetation from getting tangled around the trimmer head. Also, the patented cord attachment system makes attaching new cords simple and tool-less.

The PILOT trimmer/mower will be available in the first quarter of 2018 and has an MSRP $349.99

DR Power Equipment’s PILOT leaf and lawn vacuum expands its existing lineup, but is also unlike any of the other models with a buckled cloth closure in the rear. The PREMIER, PRO and PRO-XL models use a clamshell design. The collector has a 200-gallon capacity.

Users can unload quickly by unfastening a few buckles, unlatching the lift handle and raising the front of the collector. The reservoir features a 55-degree dump angle to ensure it will empty completely.

Instead of a three-sided cart, the PILOT model has a trailer underneath allowing the collector and engine to be removed, and users can tow the flatbed trailer with a riding mower or ATV. It can haul up to 400 pounds.

The PILOT uses a DR manual-start OHV engine that has 9.59 ft.-lbs. of torque. The PILOT is an entry-level leaf vacuum and has an MSRP of $999.99

For anyone who is at GIE+EXPO and wants to check out these products for themselves, they can be found at DR Power Equipment’s indoor booth #2030 or its outdoor booth #7744D.
