Hunter recently introduced two new kits designed to expand the capabilities of the Pro-C controller. The company says these kits allow users to expand station counts and bring the power of two-wire technology to residential or small commercial projects.

The company says the PMC-1600 kit enables control for up to 23 conventional stations. Hunter says that if contractors need to expand the system, they don’t have to replace the controller and add more zones; they will simply plug in the PCM-1600 output module and pick up where they left off.

Hunter says the PC-DM kit includes a PC-DM decoder output module for use with EZ-1 decoders. Users can plug the PC-DM into a PC-400 to enable control for up to 32 stations (+P/MV).

The company adds that the PC-DM can co-exist with conventional stations for hybrid conventional/decoder operations. Hunter says the higher station counts provided by these kits make the Pro-C controller a flexible and affordable fit for residential and light commercial projects.

Oregon launches SpeedCut Nano cutting system

Oregon has announced the release of the SpeedCut Nano cutting system, a .325” low profile cutting system designed to increase cutting speed and extend runtimes on battery-powered and compact light-weight gas chainsaws (20-38 cc).

The company says the cutting system features a new saw chain, guide bar and sprocket to optimize the performance of chainsaws in the 1-3 HP range. Oregon says the increased efficiency of the SpeedCut Nano cutting system also provides battery saw users with up to 20 percent more cuts on a single charge.

For this power range, Oregon says the SpeedCut Nano 80TXL saw chain provides greater productivity for users such as arborists, municipalities, landscape professionals and property owners. The company says customers can accomplish their projects faster and more efficiently, with less downtime spent recharging and refueling.

“Through close feedback from professional users in the field, we identified an opportunity for an all-new cutting system,” says Derek Vlcko, global business segment director – forestry at Blount International. “From this input, SpeedCut Nano was engineered from the ground up to meet the demands of arborists’ top-handle applications and property owners seeking top performance. With SpeedCut Nano, cutting efficiency is increased by as much as 20 percent in bucking and 90 percent in boring, ensuring no one will be left stalled in the cut.”

Other features of the SpeedCut Nano cutting system include:

  • Design that reduces the tendency to stall in the cut.
  • Multi-axis grind technology for exceptionally clean cuts.
  • Low-kickback chain with all-weather durability.
  • A corresponding guide bar with high-strength body and performance-driven nose components.
  • Small-radius sprocket nose built to exact tolerances to efficiently buck, bore and trim.
  • LubriTec lubrication system to keep saw chain and the guide bar oiled, reducing friction and wear for longer life and better performance.

Kioti Tractor adds new model to CK10SE Series

Kioti Tractor recently added a new model to its popular CK10SE Series. The company says the CK2610SE HST Cab, available at Kioti dealers across North America, offers the same quality and comfort the series is known for in a lower horsepower (hp) option.

Kioti says the new tractor joins six other models in the CK10SE Series—the CK3510SE, the CK3510SE HST, the CK3510SE HST Cab, the CK4010SE, the CK 4010SE HST and the CK4010SE HST Cab.

The company says the CK2610SE model features a 24.5 hp engine with hydrostatic transmission and boasts a factory-installed cab with A/C and heat, allowing operators to perform tasks comfortably year-round. Kioti adds that the cab features a panoramic view, with standard front and rear window wipers positioned to maximize operator visibility.

The company says the three-range transmission with twin pedal operation makes tasks easier, smoother and safer, and the Tier 4 compliant Kioti diesel engine combined with the premium cab offers powerful performance in a quiet work environment.

“The latest addition to the CK10SE Series proves once again that you can tackle tough jobs on your land while riding in comfort,” says Peter Dong-Kyun Kim, president and CEO of Daedong-USA, Inc. Kioti Tractor Division. “With strength and comfort in one machine, the CK2610SE HST Cab does not disappoint, and we’re eager for the model to make its way out of dealerships and onto the dirt.”

Kioti says the CK2610SE HST Cab was designed with compatibility in mind, incorporating a standard rear three-point adjustment lever to easily raise and lower the telescopic lower links and stabilizers from outside the tractor when attaching implements.

The company says dual rear remote valves also allow for easy accommodation of a wide variety of implements. The company says users can also pair the CK2610SE with Kioti’s KL4030 front end loader, equipped with a dual lever quick attach bucket, producing a lift capacity of 1,835 pounds. Moreover, the company says the available KB2475L backhoe lets you trench up to 89.7 inches deep with a reach of 125.1 inches.

As with other models in this series, Kioti says the CK2610SE HST Cab includes an HST linked pedal, an ergonomically designed, adjustable suspension seat with dual armrests, front and rear working lights, power steering with a tilt wheel and a dual air cleaner.
