What qualities are associated with people in leadership roles
How would you define a good leader or manager? You might use words like dependable, takes initiative, decisive or clear communicator.
One quality not linked to good women leaders is cheerfulness, according to Technische Universität München (TUM) in Garching, Germany.
Instead, they found women are perceived as being more willing to lead if they show pride in their performance.
And employees expect men to possess more leadership qualities, TUM reports.
Other positive leadership qualities include negotiation skills, networking strengths and the ability to develop a strategic career ladder.
So, it sounds like employees might not be looking for a “nice” boss after all.
