Solo 425 backpack sprayer ideal for large applications
The Solo 425 backpack sprayer, with connecting rod-actuated piston pump, can produce a wide pressure range of up to 90 psi. The tank easily handles disinfectants, fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides and formulations for tree, plant and shrub protection. Other features include a rugged metal frame, an extra-large tank opening with a strainer for easier cleaning and debris-free filling, and a 28-inch wand. Pump handle interchanges for left or right handle operation.


Efco introduces ergonomic trimmer
The 8250 IC ERGO trimmer from Efco provides operating comfort for demanding users. The 1.2-horsepower trimmer is powerful and easy to control with its balanced weight and patented ergonomic handle. A solid steel drive shaft mounted on five internal and self-lubricating bushings prevents impact stress and vibration. The 8250 features a longer 1-inch diameter aluminum outer shaft for less weight and improved working positions.


Power cutter offers clean cut for hardscaping
Dolmar’s PC-8140 power cutter helps landscapers create curbs and stone borders with a clean cut and no chipped or broken edges. The machine is powered by an 81 cubic centimeter engine and features a 16-inch cutting wheel and a cutting depth of 53/4 inches. Weighing in at 24 pounds, the PC-8140 is not just the lightest machine in the 16-inch class, but also has the best power-to-weight ratio, according to Dolmar.


Arborjet launches Quik-Jet tree injection tool
Quik-Jet is a tree injection tool for insect pests and diseases, and is used to assess tree health and uptake. Large-scale insect pest infestations on conifers can be treated, and Quik-Jet offers efficient delivery for fast uptake trees allowing the applicator to work effectively and profitably. The tool uses the same “drill, plug and inject” methodology as Arborjet’s versatile Tree I.V.


Tanaka debuts new pole saw
Tanaka’s TPS-260PF pole saw cuts branches up to 8 inches in diameter and comes with a lifetime drive shaft warranty. Powered by Tanaka’s 25 cubic centimeter, 1.3-horsepower PureFire engine, key features include a 23-ounce see-through fuel tank, padded “D” handle and a solid steel drive shaft. The saw weighs just 11pounds and can accept optional two- and three-foot extensions.


One-person measuring wheel
The DigiRoller Plus II from Calculated Industries is the one-person tool for obtaining fast, accurate measurements for on-site linear, area and volume estimates. You can roll and label distances such as “length” and “width” to find area, or store and recall later using the built-in memory which accumulates counts for up to nine separate areas. Measurements can be viewed as feet-inches, decimal feet, inches, yards, meters and acres.


Lightweight rake is operator friendly
The Groundskeeper II is a lightweight rake designed for professional landscapers and groundskeepers. Its 28 tines are set at an aggressive angle to dig into the ground without the need for downward pressure, enabling the operator to stand straight while using the rake. The 55-inch fiberglass handle and 21-inch no-break co-polymer head make it almost impossible to destroy.


Cart keeps hoses organized
Reelcraft’s Series 3000 reels mounted on a portable cart are designed for rugged, heavy-duty, low-pressure applications requiring long lengths of hose and large storage capacity. An all-bolted, unitized construction design means there are no welds to fatigue. The reel includes an adjustable spool rotation drag eliminating hose backlash.
