PERRY, Okla. — The Ditch Witch S8B trailer is designed to efficiently transport Ditch Witch underground construction equipment weighing up to 5660 pounds (2567 kg). It™s tilt-bed design facilitates loading and unloading.
The single-axle trailer™s frame is constructed of rugged structural steel for long-lasting, dependable service. Other features include a torsion axle, providing independent suspension for each wheel; electric brakes; wooden deck; shock-mounted, sealed-beam lights; breakaway wiring harness junction box, and storage trays, vibratory plow blades, supplies, and tools. Accessories include a damper cylinder to cushion the bed during loading and unloading and street pads to reduce damage to paved surfaces. The S8B can be equipped with either ball or lunette couplers.
The S8B™s gross vehicle weight rating is 7500 pounds (3402 kg). Usable space on the wooden deck is 74 inches (1.9 m) by 156 inches (4 m) which is large enough to accommodate Ditch Witch 3610 or 3700 trenchers, provided machine and attachments do not exceed 5660 pounds (2567 kg). The S8B also can transport Ditch Witch 255sx and 410sx vibratory plows, the HT25 trencher and the JT520 horizontal directional drilling system. The trailer™s rugged construction makes it an ideal general-purpose trailer for other types of equipment that do not exceed size and weight limits.
