Among the new products added to the ECHO portfolio for 2025, the ECHO 56V Battery System LC-56V4A6 6-Port Rapid Field Charger is anxiously anticipated by those using electric equipment in the field. The field charger charges up to six 56V batteries at once and doubles as a portable transport system with a locking lid, wheels, and a folding handle for easy mobility.
Michael Bedell, owner and landscape designer with Bedell Property Management, LLC in Milford, Mich., says the field charger will bring value to his landscape business as he has increasingly adopted more electric equipment.
"I was really excited to see this field charger make it into the 2025 new equipment line up from ECHO," Bedell says. "This unit checks a couple important boxes: reducing the range anxiety we all face with the lack of charging infrastructure and helping us to stay organized out in the field."
Bedell says this is a "major step toward putting battery equipment on the same playing field as gas equipment."
"Having consistent access to this much available power makes utilizing mowers and blowers for extended periods a daily reality going forward," he continues.
Bedell says that as electric equipment becomes more desired (or even mandated in some areas), battery support in the field will be imperative.
