In a recent virtual press event, Belgard announced their newest product offerings.

Collections by Belgard

Organized by texture and style, Belgard says each collection combines complementary products allowing contractors, homeowners and designers to pair hardscapes with a home’s architectural design.

The company says users can choose multiple elements from within a single collection for a more uniform look or mix and match for a bold look that suits any project.

Collections features six looks: Environmental, Heritage, Legacy, Metropolitan, Natural and Porcelain.

Modularity and geometric shapes

Belgard says it sees modular design as the next iteration of hardscape product design. The company says this approach makes it easier for contractors to mix, match and install a wide range of products together, delivering precisely what the client is looking for without adding labor or costs.

Belgard says modularity allows homeowners and contractors to more easily extend or adapt a space in the future, as all products will fit within this approach and work together.

The company says geometric shapes naturally fit within a modular design, and from a trend standpoint, more homeowners are leaning toward geometric shapes for their hardscapes designs.

2021 Color of the Year

Belgard also announced its 2021 Color of the Year – Marigold. Exhibiting both versatility and vibrancy, the company says this yellow hue is a direct reflection of how 2020 has impacted consumers’ needs in everyday life, focusing on the importance of creating a space that fosters growth, connection and inspiration.

The company says the punchy color enlivens many of the Belgard paver palettes by adding a bold flare to a space while still complementing earthy tones. Expressing energy and versatility, Belgard says Marigold creates a dynamic, playful space when paired with neutrals or other bright hues, or can add spurts of creativity to a chic, upscale outdoor environment.

Biophilic design and sustainability

Belgard says studies show spending time outdoors is good for both physical and mental well-being – having a direct impact on blood pressure, creativity and more.

The company says pollinators, edible gardens and other sustainable projects continue to gain popularity, as well as sustainable design elements like turf entanglement and stormwater recycling. This, Belgard says, will all heavily influence the Belgard Environmental Collection moving forward.

Belgard Rooms

Launching in Q1 2021, the company says Belgard Rooms will offer contractors and homeowners a new approach to outdoor living design. Focusing on templated plans, the company says Belgard Rooms will be structured around how shape, color and texture work together to offer more design options and make the design process easier. Belgard says designs will be categorized by collections and home styles, along with other features, applications, regions and more.

Artforms

Belgard says Artforms is the hardscape industry’s first completely finished modular concrete panel system for outdoor living, which the company says can be used for benches, barbecues, counters, fireplaces, planters and privacy walls. The company says Artforms offers clean lines, smooth texture and an aesthetic that is unmatched in the outdoor living category, offering a modern yet timeless look at an affordable price. Belgard says the innovative system allows the pre-formed concrete panels to be configured and affixed with simple, stainless steel hardware that is adjustable, allowing for multiple, personalized configurations.

Lighting

Belgard says Tru-Scapes Landscape Lighting is a Belgard-exclusive partner, with a goal to provide reasonably priced, high-quality and simple-to-install lighting solutions. With all the components provided and one power source to connect them all, the company says incorporating lighting as part of Belgard Lighting Solutions is the simple and easy choice to complete an outdoor living space.

Key products:

  • Hardscape lights
  • Paver lights
  • Pillar lights
  • Transformers and timers

  • Multiple installation patterns
  • Integrate cap into wall design to create depth and custom appearance

Tandem modular block

Belgard says the Tandem Modular Block is a flexible solution for a range of applications, including retaining walls, double faced walls, setback walls, corners, curved walls and columns. The company says the block system allows the interconnection of structural units by using their tenon and mortise features. The company says this creates the advantage of being able to build stronger walls by adding units in the back and is perfect for outdoor kitchen elements.

Key benefits:

  • Three different veneer face styles
  • Design flexibility
  • Better stability during installation
  • Limited job site space solution
  • Connecting multiple blocks together to reinforce to make a higher wall without geogrid
  • Easily construct reinforced corners
  • One all-purpose plastic connector; retaining wall, double faced wall, setback wall, corners, curved wall and columns
  • Retaining and freestanding block wall systems

Overlays

Belgard says paver overlays deliver that boost in appearance homeowners are seeking, with less labor required from the contractor. Stains, cracks and discolorations from an existing slab of concrete can detract from curb appeal, and Belgard says overlays save the contractor time that would be required to demo the concrete and prepare the foundation before installing new pavers.

Key benefits:

  • Concrete slabs can be overlaid with pavers to improve the appearance of driveways, patio, porches, walkways, pool decks and more
  • Various overlay paver styles and sizes, including porcelain, low-profile, slab and plank pavers

Key benefits:

  • Frost-resistance, skid-resistance, stain-resistance and high-breakage loads
  • Ideal for high traffic areas such as gardens and terraces
  • Flexible and can be dry laid into grass, gravel, dirt and sand without grout, adhesives or specialized workers
  • Available in large format pavers

Belgard says its fire table, the latest product within the fire feature family, is coffee table height with veneers and fits within the Bordeaux Series of products.

Key benefits:

  • Features a timeless stacked-stone design with smooth cast stone accents
  • Can be installed as either a wood-burning fire table or gas-burning fire table
