The Rental Show 2008– JLG Industries,Inc.,an OshKosh Truck Corporation company [NYSE:OSK] and a leading manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers will promote the North American availability of an extended warranty program for its ES Series Scissors and the Model 1230ES vertical mast lift in Booth 6119 at The Rental Show in Las Vegas, Neveda on February 12-14 2008. This product line has a standard one-year warranty and a five-year warranty on structural components. With the new extended warranty option, the first year of warranty can be extended for years two through five. The new extended warranty provides the same coverage as JLG”s standard warranty, except for paint and decals. “We”re extremely pleased that JLG is the first to offer customers a five-year warranty on scissor lifts. We developed this program in response to our customers” desire to control and manage their operating costs. This new warranty offering allows them to do just that, and it reflects our confidence in the many recent reliability enhancements we”ve made to our ES scissor line,” said Howard Kaplan, JLG”s vice president- product parent for aerial work platforms.
The ES Series Scissor provide industry-leading performance on a full charge of the batteries-between two and three times the duty cycles compared to conventional hydraulically driven electric powered scissors. JLG”s direct electric drive not only results in more duty cycles per charge, it also results in fewer potential leak points, with only two low-pressure hydraulic hoses in the entire hydraulic system (four on the 1230ES). These industry exclusive features result in more productivity, less down time and lower cost of ownership.
And, with JLG™s new extended warranty program, the cost of ownership can be minimized for the first five years of ownership.
