Atlas Copco SBC 410 Hydraulic Breaker Features Solid Body Concept Design

Updated Sep 22, 2010

WESTFIELD, Mass.- Featuring a solid, one-piece body design, the SBC 410 hydraulic breaker attachment from Atlas Copco Construction Tools LLC is ideal for use on skid steers, backhoes and excavators in the 4,400 to 12,100 pound weight class.

The SBC 410 is designed with a solid one-piece body that eliminates the need for side bolts and provides exceptional strength and reliability. The cast-iron body also allows all integral parts to be housed in the same casting, simplifying maintenance and making the unit lighter than conventional units that house the valve, cylinder, front head and breaker in separate compartments.

Weighing 453 pounds and accepting a maximum hydraulic flow of 17.2 gallons per minute at a working pressure of 2,175 psi, the SBC 410 delivers an impact rate of up to 1,200 blows per minute. The high power-to-weight ratio allows the breaker to be used on a smaller carrier without sacrificing stability and makes the unit ideal for roadwork, demolition, stake driving and secondary breaking.

For increased durability and reliability, the SBC 410 includes a lubrication port positioned at the top of the breaker to facilitate use with an automatic lubrication system.

The breaker’s long stroke piston design ensures optimum energy transfer to the tip of the tool, reducing the amount of recoil directed back to the carrier and operator. The piston design also makes the SBC 410 exceptionally quiet.

A full-length tool bushing reduces wear on breaker components by providing maximum guidance to the tool shank. The compact shape of the breaker also provides the operator with excellent visibility of the working area.
