WACKER’s newest premium portable generators offer an industry best value package

Updated Oct 21, 2010

Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin – WACKER is offering two new portable generator models that combine the innovative technology of a premium generator with the WACKER engine to provide an industry best value.  The GP 2600 is powered by a WACKER WM 170, 6-hp engine and the GP 4000 is powered by a WACKER WM 270, 9-hp engine.   These overhead cam (OHC) engines bring current automotive technology to portable generators resulting in more power, fuel efficiency, quieter operation and easier starting than OHV engine powered generators.

Coupled to these superior engines is WACKER’s premium generator design with a built-in soft start type automatic voltage regulation and separate excitation winding.  This results in portable generators with the industry’s best motor starting and voltage regulation, allowing users to start larger tools as well as run a broader range of voltage sensitive tools and equipment than competitive generators.

The GP 4000 offers other industry leading features like full GFCI personal protection on all receptacles including 240 volt twist lock (unavailable on most portable generators) and a unique time delay system on its auto-idle control which eliminates the rapid cycling in and out of the auto idle due to intermittent loads.

Backed by a 2-year complete warranty, WACKER’s GP 2600 and GP 4000 are truly industry best values providing excellent performance, durability and low maintenance.

These WACKER powered premium portable generators join the growing number of product lines that are receiving the benefits of this high performance engine.  Currently these engines can also be found on WACKER trash, dewatering and diaphragm pumps, premium, value and reversible plates, and walk-behind trowels.
