TEREX PS6-AWS ALL-WHEEL STEER DUMPER

The Terex all-wheel drive articulating site dumper, the PS6-AWS, is quickly becoming the choice for North American contractors looking to increase onsite productivity and to utilize Terex™s proven site dumper engineering and technology.

Drive and dump your way to greater productivity

Used throughout Europe, the PS6-AWS dumper is a scaled-down version of a dump truck. Its unique chassis allows the body of the bed • located in front of the machine • to rotate 90 degrees on either side. The rotating design enables an operator to unload from the side while keeping the chassis straight.

Let™s say you™ve dug a trench and now you need to lay gravel at the bottom ” simply drive the PS6-AWS parallel to the trench, rotate the bed and start dumping, filling the trench as you drive along, explains Terex product manager, Lowell Stout. It™s a truly versatile machine that will help increase on-site productivity.

Using a power shuttle 4-speed transmission with four speeds forward and four speeds reverse, the PS6-AWS has a travel speed of 17 miles per hour. It offers a turning circle of 25 ft., 3 in., a heap capacity of 4.2 yd3 and a payload capacity of 13,227 lbs. The 4-cylinder Perkins 1004C-44 diesel engine is rated at 82 hp, 3,200 rpm, and meets all Tier 2 emission requirements. The PS6-AWS also features 1600 x 20, 12-ply tires for excellent traction.

Tilt and service your way to greater uptime

Because the dump body is in the front of the machine, the engine is in the rear. The tilt-up hood resembles that found on our backhoes. The design gives operators unrestricted access to the engine and cooling system, which simplifies servicing the machine, says Stout.
