RACINE, Wis. (Jan. 22, 2008) At the 2008 World Of Concrete show in Las Vegas, Case Construction Equipment announced that four Case compact excavators the Case CX27B, CX31B, CX36B and CX50B have been upgraded to Tier 4 certification. This upgrade delivers more efficient power and faster cycle times to get the operator quickly through the toughest jobs.
Featuring Tier 4 certified Yanmar engines, the Case CX B Series compact excavators range from 5,566 to 10,261 lb (2,520 to 4,660 kg) and deliver from 21.3 to 39.8 net hp (15.9 to 29.3 kW). Delivering power the contractor can put to use on the job site, these models provide bucket digging forces up to 7,936 lb (3,600 kg) and maximum dig depths from 8 feet 4 inches (2.54 m) to 11 feet 9 inches (3.59 m).
These machines are all zero tail swing (ZTS) machines and have a small footprint in comparison, but they are packed with big excavator features, said Dave Wolf, brand marketing manager, Case Construction Equipment. Case compact excavators turn 360 degrees with no part of the upper structure extending beyond the tracks, and are as easy to trailer as a skid steer.
The upgraded Case CX B Series compact excavators provide adjustability to match the machine to the operator for maximum operator comfort and productivity. A three-post ROPS design on these compact excavators makes it easy to get in and out of the machine while providing enhanced visibility to the task at hand. A heater and floor-to-ceiling glass cab is available as an option on all models.
All models are equipped with a hydraulically controlled backfill blade for added stability and light dozing work. The backfill blade efficiently boils material in front of the blade for easy backfilling.
For ease of maintenance, all four compact excavator models feature swing-out access panels and ground line fuel, coolant and hydraulic fluid fills. The fuel cap and all access panels are lockable for added protection.
A full range of buckets, thumbs, arm lengths and coupler options give the Case CX B Series compact excavators the ability to handle applications from trenching for utilities to general excavation in tight, restricted areas.
Case also offers a full range of mid-sized and standard excavators from 7 to 80 metric tons.
