CASE CX75 AND CX80 EXCAVATORS FEATURE

RACINE, Wis. (Jan. 22, 2008) At the 2008 World Of Concrete show in Las Vegas, Case Construction Equipment announced that the Case CX75 minimum swing radius excavator and CX80 excavator have been upgraded to Tier 4 Stage 1 certification. This upgrade delivers more efficient power and faster cycle times to get the operator quickly through the toughest jobs.

Featuring Tier 4 Stage 1 certified Isuzu engines that deliver 54 net hp (40 kW), the CX75 and CX80 have operating weights of 17,468 lb (7,919 kg) and 18,585 lb (8,430 kg) and provide bucket digging forces of 12,792 lb (56.9 kN). The CX75 has a maximum dig depth of 13 feet 7 inches (4.14 m), while the CX80 has a maximum dig depth of 13 feet 9 inches (4.18 m).

The CX75 minimum swing radius excavator excels at digging and lifting in the tightest work areas such as road and bridge projects, urban construction and on congested job sites. The unique design and optional offset boom allows the excavator to dig directly against the sides of buildings, a lot line, or other obstruction. The offset boom pivots at a joint between the arm and boom, allowing the bucket to be placed off center for parallel digging even beyond the edge of the machine™s own tracks.

Combining the power of a full-size excavator with the flexibility of a compact, the Case CX80 excavator features a center-swing boom. An operator can position this machine right along a foundation, or dig directly next to walls, buildings or other fixed objects. The versatile swing-boom can be positioned anywhere within a 130 degree arc to accommodate challenging applications.

For added versatility, two arm lengths are available on the CX80: 5 feet 7 inches (1.71 m) for maximum lift capacity and break out force and 6 feet 11 inches (2.12 m) for applications requiring additional reach. The standard back fill blade allows an operator to dig a trench along a foundation, position a pipe and back fill.

The CX75 and CX80 excavators are built for outstanding productivity, reliability, and economy, along with simplified maintenance. These excavators provide simplified maintenance with convenient access to service points. Extended service intervals provide maximum uptime for your equipment.

A full range of buckets, thumbs, arm lengths and coupler options give the CX75 and CX80 excavators the ability to handle a wide variety of jobsite needs.

Case also offers a full range of compact, mid-sized and standard excavators up to 80 metric tons.
