Bobcat CT225 Compact Tractor Brings Power to Tight Work Areas

The Bobcat® CT225, part of a new line of compact tractors, provides farmers, ranchers, grounds maintenance professionals and homeowners the power to perform tough work in tight areas.

Bobcat Company, a leader in designing compact equipment with operator comfort, durability and productivity for 50 years, now brings these features to compact tractors.

The CT225 has a 27 horsepower diesel engine, hydrostatic transmission and three speed ranges that help the tractor navigate over difficult terrain. With agricultural tires, the CT225 is 56 inches wide. The tractor is 118 inches long and 96 inches high with the roll-over protective structure (ROPS) deployed. The CT225 has an inside turning radius of 114 inches and weighs
3,021 pounds.

Bobcat offers a number of implements for use on the compact tractor, including an angle blade, box blade, finish mower, post-hole digger, seeder and tine rake, as well as a front-end loader and attachments. A premium three-point hitch design allows the implements to be easily changed.

Operators will experience superior visibility to the front of the tractor due to a Bobcat design that features a sleek hood and side panels made of tough, durable steel.

Standard comfort and safety features include a spark arrestor muffler, horn, brake lights and operator™s handbook, as well as a standard suspension seat and a fully retractable seat belt. The CT225 has a roll-over protective structure (ROPS) that can be folded down to make transportation and storage of the tractor more convenient.

In addition to the CT225, Bobcat also offers the CT120 and CT230 compact tractors. Six additional tractor models will be introduced throughout 2008.

Fifty years ago, Bobcat Company unleashed a way to work better, smarter, faster. During 2008, the company is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Bobcat compact equipment, which began with the Melroe Self-Propelled Loader ” a three-wheeled front-end loader ” in 1958. That machine evolved into the Bobcat skid-steer loader and spawned the worldwide compact equipment industry. Today, Bobcat continues to lead the world in the design, manufacture and distribution of compact equipment.
