Wacker Neuson introduces new line of compact dumpers

Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin Wacker Neuson, a leading manufacturer of light construction equipment introduced three new compact dumpers to the US market in early 2008. According to Jay Baudhuin, compact class product manager, “Articulated dumpers are becoming the bulk material-mover of choice among landscape and construction contractors. And rental companies are realizing this too. Dumpers are a lot easier on the landscape than trucks and they have added maneuverability that will save time and money on the jobsite”.

Wacker Neuson”s new dumpers are designed for trouble-free performance, are easy to operate, and feature great operator comfort and visibility.

Wacker Neuson”s model 1001 is the mini-dumper of the line that delivers big machine performance. With a payload of 2,205 pounds it has great jobsite maneuverability and mobility. Its hydrostatic permanent four-wheel-drive is excellent for rough terrain applications. The 1001 is also easy to operate and should be particularly popular as a rental machine where operator instruction is necessary. It is powered by a rugged economical Yanmar 3-cylinder, 24-horsepower diesel engine and with it™s high tip bucket it is perfect for the contractor that will use it to clean up a jobsite or for landscapers moving material at residences.

The Wacker Neuson model 3001 is a mid-range dumper for bigger jobs that will haul a payload of 6,614 pounds. It features hydrostatic permanent four-wheel drive which makes it operator friendly with no gears to shift or clutches to operate. It is powered by a 3-cylinder Yanmar 32.7-horsepower diesel engine. Contractors will know after one job what a workhorse this machine can be for a lot of different applications, said Baudhuin.

Rounding out the new Wacker Neuson line of dumpers is the model 6001 which is the biggest and most powerful unit to be offered. The 6001 will haul a big payload of 13,227 pounds. It is powered by an 86.6-horsepower Deutz diesel engine and features massive box sections that are extremely well-balanced even when operating at full capacity.  It also offers a front dump, plus operators are also able to dump material on either side by using the swivel feature.

Baudhuin thinks these new units will be extremely popular with the landscape, construction and rental markets. “These Wacker Neuson dumpers are really well-designed. They are the best looking units on the market and the easiest to operate, which equates to increased productivity and profitability for the contractor”.

The new dumpers are part of a complete new line of Wacker Neuson compact class equipment that also includes six new compact wheel loaders and five new compact excavators. Baudhuin says that the line represents a new market for Wacker Neuson. “This new line of compact equipment illustrates our dedication to building the Wacker Neuson brand at all levels of the construction process and we”ll be adding even more new compact equipment in the future. We”re confident that its quality and performance will make it extremely popular with new and existing customers”.
