Pittsburgh, Pa., December 2007”MSA has received NIOSH approval for use of the OptimAir TL PAPR with tight-fitting facepiece. This PAPR may now be used for any number of job applications with loose-fitting hoods and tight-fitting facepieces. Facepieces now approved for use with the OptimAir TL PAPR are Advantage® 3100, Advantage 4100, and Ultra Elite® Facepieces. Other OptimAir TL PAPR accessories which have also recently been NIOSH-approved include the extended battery (10-12 hour), protective decon cover, and comfort belt.
