Torrance, CA, January 20, 2009 – MK Diamond Products introduces a new 18 concrete saw that features a 10hp Baldor 3 phase electric motor, available in either 230V or 460V. The totally enclosed fan cooled motor provides 29.5 ft-lb of torque with a NEMA 12 across the line starter switch.
Like all MK-1600 concrete saws, the MK-1610B features a one-piece box construction chassis made from 3/16 hot-rolled steel that will not flex during operation. The powder-coated chassis resists peeling and corrosion. The cast-aluminum hinged blade guard mounts on the left- or right-hand side of the saw and cuts within 2″ of the wall or curb. The depth of cut is 6 5/8. The 1-1/4″ blade shaft is supported by two heavy-duty, self-aligning pillow block bearings for durability.
The stainless steel water distribution system supplies water to both sides of blade for superior cooling. The MK-1610B has durable 8″ x 2-1/4″ non-slip rubber wheels with maintenance-free hubs and roller bearings. The depth control assembly is engineered for smooth, controlled blade insertion and has a positive-locking depth control mechanism.
It has a built-in depth gauge, power cord with connector and lifting bail. The saw is compact and very maneuverable at 275 pounds. It comes with a one-year warranty.
