Shaver Manufacturing’s new lineup of Universal Transport Post Drivers eliminate the need to hook up to a tractor or skid steer loader. All three of the new units, the UTD-8, UTD-10 and UTD-12 feature a self-contained 13 hp electric-start engine designed to power each unit’s hydraulic system. And because the unit is completely self-powered, it can be easily hitched behind a pickup or SUV.
The new units are ideal for farmers, ranchers, fencing contractors, maintenance departments and rental stores. A positioner with its turntable feature makes it simple to tilt the driver forward and back or side-to-side so that you can easily drive the posts straight into the ground even when on uneven ground. And, with the maneuverability of the trailer mount, you can easily work around buildings, sheds, trees and other obstacles. All three units feature a 12 gpm hydraulic pump, a 30 gallon oil reservoir, a 650 cold-crank amp battery and a 10-inch trailer jack lift.
