CASE INTRODUCES NEW ‘COMMODITY KING’ WHEEL LOADER

RACINE, Wis. (Feb. 2, 2010) – Case Construction Equipment today introduced the Commodity King package for Case 621E and 721E wheel loaders. The option package includes advanced filtration, open differential rear axles and larger and specialized buckets.

The Commodity King option package is ideal for two extreme operating environments – concrete-paved agricultural and industrial operations, such as feedlots, dairies and batch plants; and pasture-based livestock and dairy farms. The Commodity King package includes special cooler enhancements that protect against large-particle contaminants common in these environments. Open differential rear axles reduce tire wear on paved surfaces, and larger and specialized buckets improve productivity.

The Commodity King package keeps fluid system coolers working efficiently by providing greater protection from the excessive particulate matter common to agricultural and certain industrial settings. This is accomplished by sealing the coolers to assure air passes through a screen that filters large contaminants. Cooler fin spacing has been widened so that materials that pass though the grill screens will also pass through the coolers.

Other system components include a reversing fan, standard on Case wheel loaders, to help purge screens and coolers; the Case “Sy-Clone” engine pre-cleaner to extend air-filter life; and a non-corrugated cooling top screen cover to limit material buildup.

Better traction on concrete surfaces

In concrete-paved work areas, the new optional rear-axle open differentials provide better traction and reduced tire wear for wheel loaders. Standard limited-slip differentials are better suited to earthen surfaces.

Two new bucket options are available with the Commodity King package. Oversized, light-material buckets (4½ yd3 for the 621E and 5½ yd3 for the 721E) boost productivity, and grapple buckets (3 yd3 for the 621E and 3½ yd3 for the 721E) facilitate the loading and carrying of various oversized, lightweight materials.

The Commodity King option package is available on all configurations of the top-selling Case 621E and 721E wheel loader models, including standard Z-bar, XT tool carrier and XR extended-reach versions.

“Case launched the Commodity King option package in response to our customers’ needs in agricultural applications,” said Ion Warner, senior director of marketing. “With this package, we’ve collected a set of options that improve productivity and operation, not only in extreme ag applications but also in certain industrial applications where the challenges are similar.”

Case sells six models of full-sized wheel loaders, with bucket capacities from 1.77 yd3 (1.35 m3) to 6.3 yd3 (4.8 m3).
