Compact and lightweight, the Atlas Copco LWP 2 submersible water pump is ideal for a wide range of applications, such as continuous pumping of clean or contaminated water on building sites, excavation sites and basements.
The 2-inch pump is capable of handling stones and other debris of up to 3/8 inches in diameter. The LWP 2 produces a discharge of up to 222 gallons per minute and has a lifting head of up to 82 feet. It is spark-proof and can run dry without sustaining damage to internal components.
Weighing only 23 pounds, the pump is well suited to busy utility and service contractors who require equipment to be mobile. Standard features include one 33-foot discharge hose and snap-lock, quick-release couplings that ease movement of the pump and hose around the flooded site.
A wide range of hydraulic power packs is available to efficiently power the LWP 2. These optional units feature a power-on-demand system that automatically decreases the pack’s engine speed when the pump is disengaged, reducing fuel consumption and extending the life of the power pack. Equipped with wheels and handles, a power pack can be easily moved around a job site to increase the pump’s flexibility. Power packs are small enough to transport by pickup truck and store on a shelf when not in use.
An optional oil flow divider and extension hoses are available for running the pump off hydraulic-powered carriers.
The LWP 2 was added to Atlas Copco Construction Tools’ product line through the acquisition of Lifton, a leading manufacturer of hydraulic handheld breakers, power packs, cut-off saws, core drills, post drivers, water pumps and other equipment for the global construction, demolition, utility, mining and rental industries.
