Allmand Reconfigures Night-Lite™ PRO Series into Customized Packages

Updated Oct 7, 2010

HOLDREGE, Neb. – Allmand introduces reconfigured Night-Lite™ PRO Series packages, offering geographic-specific features while maintaining the reasonable prices that have attracted a variety of markets in the past, from rental yards and contractors to municipalities and special event organizers. In addition to the standard Night-Lite™ PRO, Allmand also now offers the Night-Lite™ PRO International, Night-Lite™ PRO Arctic Special and Night-Lite™ PRO CSA Approved.

Rather than GFCI duplex outlets, the International package features two Schuko receptacles and a 6-kilowatt, 220-volt, 50-hertz power generator to make it suitable for locations outside the United States. Likewise, the CSA package meets all Canadian Standards Association requirements with a VIN package, UL-approved luminaire and CSA-approved wiring harness.

Suited for cold-weather environments, the Arctic Special package features an engine block heater, heavy-duty battery with an electric battery blanket, a remote oil drain, tubes in the tires and a CSA-approved wiring harness. The heavy-duty enclosure with a full floor and 90-degree-angle air inlet duct prevents blowing snow from entering the cabinet. With the exception of the International package, all PRO models come with a 6- or 8-kilowatt single-phase 120/240-volt, 60-hertz generator.

All Night-Lite PRO models feature Allmand’s durable SHO lighting system, which produces as much as 50 percent more light than competitive towers. Four parallel metal halide or high-pressure sodium lamp fixtures provide as many as 5,000 watts per tower. An optional Saf-T-Visor™ set can be added to reflect previously wasted light directly onto the worksite.

An 1,800-rpm, liquid-cooled diesel engine powers the units, which also feature a glow plug cold-start aid and an automatic shutdown for low oil pressure and high engine temperature. A 30-gallon polyethylene fuel tank provides up to 60 hours of continuous operation.

Each PRO series mast is center-mounted on a three-point outrigger system, allowing the unit to remain operational in winds up to 65 mph. Self-locking stabilizers and a captive latch pin on the tower help eliminate lost pins. Additionally, self-lubricated nylon guide pads provide smooth, safe operation by increasing the raised tower assembly’s rigidity to further stabilize it. The pads also eliminate problems associated with metal-to-metal wear points.

Manufactured with galvanized steel, the 30-foot telescoping towers’ coating will expand to protect any scratched areas from corrosion. Each model’s protective enclosure includes solid 12-gauge fold-up doors and 10-gauge side panels, as well as molded fenders built to resist dents and corrosion. All PRO series towers also come with 13-inch tires, forklift pockets, a lifting eye, tie-down rings and a two-inch ball/three-inch pintle hitch for easy transportation.

A number of options help further customize each PRO package, such as a sound attenuation package, quick-disconnect lamp fixtures, a seven-pole taillight connector and a bulldog hitch. Standard, International and Arctic Special packages can be used with Allmand’s LSC100™ Automatic Light Sequence Commander, which features an eight-event digital timer that allows an operator to preset different activation and deactivation times to reduce engine wear and fuel consumption.
