Munnsville, N.Y. (October 27, 2010)—The Ferris IS® 2500Z mid-mount zero-turn mower line-up for model year 2011 will include three models featuring Yanmar
3-cylinder, in-line diesel engines with cast iron blocks. A 20-hp model with 52” iCD™ cutting system and a 24-hp model with a 61” iCD™ cutting system are available now. A 24-hp model with 52” iCD™ cutting system will be available in January 2011.
The patented four-wheel suspension system on the IS® 2500Z dramatically increases operator comforts, mowing speed, quality of cut and productivity. With a top speed of 10 mph, the operator can mow up to 5 acres per hour (based on 80% efficiency).
“Many commercial operators are unaware that they slow down to compensate for rough terrain,” says Bill Shea, vice president of commercial sales for the Briggs & Stratton Yard Power Products Group. “Protected from the effects of rough terrain, the operator naturally increases his or her speed, taking full advantage of the available machine horsepower.”
By absorbing bumps and vibration, the suspension system also helps extend mower life. Additionally, the mower deck features cast-iron greaseable spindles for longer life. For more information, visit https://www.ferrismowers.com/na/en_us/home.html.com.
