LAKE ZURICH, Ill. – Subaru Centrifugal Pumps combine a powerful overhead cam engine, heavy-duty construction and reliable performance for a variety of applications. The self-priming pumps are available in 2-, 3- and 4-inch models. Each model is powered by a Subaru EX Series overhead cam engine, providing maximum performance, lower emissions and better fuel economy. The 2-inch PKX201 is powered by the EX13, a 4.5-horsepower engine, and offers a delivery volume of 158 gallons per minute. Powered by the 6.0-horsepower EX17 engine, the 3-inch PKX301 provides a delivery volume of 256 gallons per minute. Finally, the 4-inch PKX401 offers a delivery volume of 356 gallons per minute and is powered by the 9.0-horsepower EX27 engine.
Designed to offer durability for the most demanding job sites, Subaru centrifugal pumps utilize high quality, heavy-duty materials. An abrasion-resistant, cast-iron three-blade impeller ensures long life, while a hardened cast-iron volute effectively withstands debris sucked through the strainer. The advanced volute design pumps water straight into the cavity for fast priming. The carbon ceramic seal is self-lubricating and provides many hours of trouble-free service.
Subaru centrifugal pumps feature a durable, heavy-duty strainer to protect the pump from large solids. The hole diameter prevents large debris from entering the suction hose. A strong aluminum die-cast housing withstands the debris allowed. Suction and discharge nipples have standard NPT fittings for quick, easy hose connections. Other standard features include a toolkit, hose band and three-year warranty. Vibration isolators also come standard and lessen vibration to keep the pump stable.
For quiet operation, the centrifugal pump features a low-tone muffler and a sound-suppressing air cleaner. The centrifugal pumps meet all current EPA/CARB emission standards.
Routine maintenance can be completed in the field with common hand tools. Four stainless steel cap screws hold together the aluminum casings, and all wear parts are exposed when the cover is removed, making maintenance convenient. The large plastic plugs make draining and filling easier and eliminate corrosion between the plugs and casing.
The automatic decompression, easy-pull recoil starter and Hot SparkÒ ignition system provide easy and reliable starting. The large-capacity fuel tank extends operation time, while its special coating prevents rust from forming inside the tank. A large fuel opening allows easy pouring and the cleanable mesh strainer prevents debris from reaching the engine.
For durability and protection, the heavy-duty tubular frame wraps around the pump, while the pump housing itself is made of lightweight die-cast aluminum alloy. Four extra-large, durable anti-vibration mounts ensure a smooth-running engine and keep the unit from shifting during operation.
For smaller applications, Subaru also offers a lightweight 1-inch centrifugal pump. Powered by the Subaru 1.1-horsepower EH025 overhead valve four-cycle engine, the PKV101 provides a delivery volume of 28 gallons per minute.
