Global Rental Alliance holds annual meeting

The Global Rental Alliance held its 2009 annual meeting at The Rental Show in Atlanta, Georgia. The primary objective of the meeting was to review a report on the Global Rental Alliance International Rental Exchange Program, which had its pilot run this year.

According to the report, the exchange program will be continued. The six international members of the Alliance, Canadian Rental Association, DLR (France), European Rental Association, Hire Association Europe, Hire & Rental Industry Assocation (Australia), Hire Industry Association of New Zealand and American Rental Association, are considering possible nominees for future exchanges.

The program is managed by the ARA Foundation, a nonprofit charitable organization, which establishes educational opportunity programs and assists the rental industry. Peter Maginnis, branch manager of American Rentals in South Gate, California, participated in the pilot program with Kennards Hire in Australia.

Also, the Global Rental Alliance developed its 2010 meeting agenda for the annual meeting in Orlando, Florida, which will constitute heavy talks on Alliance members’ mutual concerns.

The Global Rental Alliance is an international group of rental agencies, which strives to promote the rental industry worldwide, address common concerns and build relationships while sharing industry information.
