Mississippi State University receives PLANET accreditation

The PLANET accreditation team visited Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi, Nov. 9-11, 2008. They awarded Provisional Full Accreditation to the university’s landscape contracting and management program in the department of landscape architecture at the four-year Bachelor of Science degree level. Accreditation status will continue until 2015, when another on-site review will be required.

The team performs on-site reviews of schools that offer landscaping curriculum that meets the needs of the landscaping industry. It recognizes four-year Bachelor of Science and two-year Associate of Science degree programs. Currently 25 schools offer programs that are PLANET accredited.
