Project EverGreen and the Turf & Ornamental Communicators Association have teamed up to raise money to expand the GreenCare for Troops program. The “Buck it Up for Military Families” campaign asks individuals to donate $1 that will allow GreenCare for Troops to offer scholarships to college students of military families.
The “Buck it Up” campaign lets consumers donate $1 online at www.projectevergreen.com or www.toca.org. The program will begin in mid-March and end on May 16, Armed Forces Day in the United States.
GreenCare for Troops is national project administered by Project EverGreen that provides free lawn and landscape care for military families where the head of household is serving overseas. More than 7,200 families and 2,000 volunteers are involved in the three-year-old program, which is underwritten by Cub Cadet.
