Entertainment announced for GIE+EXPO 2009

Thursday and Friday night concerts have been announced for GIE+EXPO 2009. On Thursday, Oct. 29, at 4th Street Live! in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, tradeshow attendees can see 80s platinum-selling artist Eddie Money. Known for his hits like “Take Me Home Tonight” and “Two Tickets to Paradise,” Money will take the stage at 8 p.m.

The Briggs Bluesbusters will open the Thursday night concert at 6:30 p.m. The Briggs & Stratton house band has nine members, six that are employees. The group has opened for bands including The Beach Boys and James Brown. They play covers by soul and blues-based rock artists and the company anthem “Briggs & Stratton Man.” Thursday night concerts are sponsored by Briggs & Stratton.

Friday, Oct. 30, Ariens Company and Stens, The Parts Company will present The Grass Roots at 7 p.m., followed by the 4th Street Live! Street Party featuring The Blues Brothers at 9 p.m.

GIE+EXPO 2009 will be held in Louisville, Kentucky, Oct. 29 through Oct. 31. Pre-registration for a three-day pass is $10 per person. Onsite registration is $50 per person. To pre-register, visit www.gie-expo.com.
