Syngenta Monument herbicide approved for use in lawn market

Syngenta Professional Products announced Monument 75WG herbicide is approved by the Environmental Protection Agency for use on sports fields and residential properties, including home lawns (except in California). Monument was previously approved for use in commercial warm season turf markets, including golf courses, sod farms and commercial property management.

Monument is a selective post-emergent herbicide for use in bermudagrass, zoysiagrass and buffalograss to control certain unwanted grasses, sedges and broadleaf weeds. Monument comes packaged in 5×5 gram packets of water dispersible granules. Granules must be thoroughly mixed with water and applied on weeds as a spray. A repeat application may be necessary four to six weeks after initial application for optimum weed control.

Monument herbicide can also be used to control common weeds including common chickweed, dichondra, dandelion and wild garlic, and grass weeds like tall fescue, annual bluegrass, smooth and large crabgrasses, perennial ryegrass and roughstalk bluegrass.
