Rain Bird and the American Public Garden’s Association announce Paul James, The Gardener Guy and host of HGTV’s Gardening by the Yard, has been named national spokesperson for the first annual National Public Gardens Day. The event will be May 8, the day before Mother’s Day weekend.
The focus of National Public Gardens Day is to communicate the importance of building sustainable environments through improved plant management and water conservation. As national spokesperson, James will host the campaign’s national and regional broadcast public service announcements. He will also speak with national and local morning news programs as part of a nationwide satellite media tour.
