Arysta awards lawn spreaders to drawing winners

Arysta LifeScience awarded six lawn care operators with brand new John Deere spreaders. The prize giveaway was part of a promotion for the DISARM G granular strobilurin fungicide and ALOFT LC G granular insecticide.

Mike McCollough of Landscapes Unlimited in O’Fallon, Illinois, won the grand prize, a 2009 PermaGreen Magnum Ride-On SmartSteer Spreader. McCollough says the spreader allows him to apply to be state certified for fertilizer and chemical applications, an asset to his small business.

The remaining five winners received John Deere LESCO 80-pound stainless-steel push spreaders. Karen Scholten of S.S. Services in Holland, Michigan; Robert Brown of All Seasons Grounds Management in Norfolk, Virginia; Douglas Columb of Grasshopper Lawns in Baugatuck, Connecticut; Aaron Schilling of FHL Landscaping in Walton, Kentucky; and Greg Pierce of Lawnmaster Lawn & Landscape in Puryear, Tennessee, as well as McCullough, had qualified for their prizes by entering a drawing at the 2008 The Green Industry and Equipment Expo.
