Toro opens “Smooth Operator” competition

Toro launched its “Smooth Operator Video Challenge” to landscape contractors for a chance to win a “Smooth Out Your Business” Toro prize package.

Contestants have until July 31 to film a 1- to 2-minute video testimonial showing them using the new Z Master G3 zero-turn rider and GrandStand stand-on mower. They must demonstrate how these new mowers make landscape businesses run smoother.

Video submissions must exhibit at least two of the following criteria: handling on hillsides, maneuverability, ease of use and service, comfort and fatigue reduction, overall cutting performance and finished appearance.

Participants are to post videos on YouTube.com and link them to Lawnsite.com from through July 31. The public can then vote on Lawnsite.com for their favorite video. Submissions that make it to the final round will compete in the final voting from Aug. 1 to Aug. 31.

The “Smooth Out Your Business” prize includes Toro-designed direct mail pieces and advertising materials for the winner’s business and four nights at Walt Disney World, which includes a behind-the-scenes tour led by Disney landscapers and horticulture specialists.
