John Deere appoints new division president

Former senior vice president and CFO of Deere & Company Michael J. Mack Jr. will serve as the new president of John Deere’s Worldwide Construction & Forestry Division. Mack is replacing Samuel R. Allen, who will step into the role of CEO of Deere & Company.

Mack has served the company in a variety of roles and positions. He began as a summer intern engineer at Deere’s Des Moines Works. Since then he has worked in North America and Europe in treasury, business development, purchasing and manufacturing arenas.

Specifically, Mack has held other leadership roles at Deere & Company as vice president and treasurer of the financial division, and as senior vice president of marketing and administration in the Worldwide Commercial & Consumer Division. He holds two master’s degrees in business administration and engineering.
