The ARA’s board of directors has voted to return The Rental Show to New Orleans, Louisiana, instead of Atlanta, Georgia, February 5-8, 2012, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
The decision was a result of feedback from exhibitors and attendees who expressed desire to return the show to New Orleans, which has hosted The Rental Show six times.
The event had last been scheduled in the Crescent City in 2007, but was moved to Atlanta that year in light of the Hurricane Katrina aftermath. Atlanta has hosted the event several times since then.
The Rental Show Work Group is a group of volunteers from the ARA general associate member companies and ARA staff in charge of evaluating the show and making improvements. They have suggested expanding the number of host cities as a priority for this year. Current host cities include Orlando, Florida; Las Vegas, Nevada; and New Orleans, Louisiana.
The Work Group has also moved to change other aspects. The 2010 event at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, February 7-10 will be cut short a day. For more information on The Rental Show visit www.TheRentalShow.com.
