The 4th annual Quality Vegetation Management Project Habitat awards, sponsored by BASF Professional Vegetation Management, is accepting entries until September 25.
The awards select vegetation management projects benefiting the environment and improving plant and animal natural habitats. Land managers, owners QVM Certified Applicators and forestry advisors may submit their project for a chance to win a partnership with BASF in promotions such as written success stories, trade articles, QVM plot signage and local publicity.
This year’s categories include Specialty Vegetation Management, Forestry, Roadside, Invasive Weed Management, Aquatic and Utility. Entry is free and hopefuls may submit more than one project, provided each is labeled a separate entry.
Projects requiring chemical applications must use a QVM Certified Applicator or have a land manager or landowner apply the chemicals. QVM Certified Applicators can be located by contacting a BASF specialist or visiting www.vmanswers.com.
A point system will be used to rate each project’s problem description, results, solution and evaluation of the application process and entries including digital video or photographs will receive an extra point.
