Updated Feb 20, 2013

The Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) is looking for the country’s best maintained landscapes and is now accepting applications for its acclaimed Green Star Awards program. The deadline for entries is Friday, August 6, 2010.

The program brings national recognition to grounds management programs that exemplify a high degree of excellence in different areas: sustainability practices and policies, turf management, landscape design and more.

To enter, you must fill out the entry form and submit it along with payment to PGMS headquarters: 720 Light St., Baltimore, MD 21230. It costs $150 for PGMS members and $225 for non-members. All entries must be submitted by CD.

There will be 15 entry categories and three classes of awards: Grand Awards, Honor Awards and Merit Awards. Each winning entry will be recognized at the 2010 awards banquet in Louisville, Kentucky to coincide with the annual School of Grounds Management and GIE+EXPO, which is Oct. 27-30, 2010.

Official entry forms and more information on this year’s contest can be found at: www.pgms.org/greenstars.htm.
