Altec Industries and Lucas Tree Experts joined together to promote Green Fleet technology for diesel fleet consumers. Two Altec Green Fleet trucks have been integrated into the Lucas Tree service fleet to increase awareness of sustainable practices in the tree care industry.
Lucas Tree operates in New England, the Carolinas and Canada and plans to use the hybrid units in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The company will purchase the equipment with federal support provided under the 2008 Diesel Emissions Reduction Act, which is administered by the Environmental Defense Fund and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.
