Charlie Daniels to perform during GIE+EXPO concert

Charlie Daniels will celebrate his birthday on the GIE+EXPO stage at Fourth Street Live! in downtown Louisville during GIE+EXPO 2011. He will perform during the free concert on Oct. 28 at 9 p.m.

Daniels is a Grammy-award winning country music and southern rock legend most known for his No. 1 country hit, “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2008.

The Davisson Brothers will open for Daniels, taking the stage at 8 p.m. They sing country songs such as, “Foot Stompin.”

GIE+EXPO will be Oct. 27-29 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The international tradeshow is sponsored by the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute, Professional Landcare Network and the Professional Grounds Management Society. Hardscape North America will be co-located on the show floor on the same dates.

An early-bird registration fee of $10 is being offered until Sept. 14. After that, pre-registration will be $25, and the onsite registration fee will be $50. Go to gie-expo.com to register and learn more about show updates and features.
