The Maracana stadium may be nearly finished in Brazil in preparation for the 2014 World Cup and the 20116 Olympics. However, professional athletes will not be the first ones taking the field.
As a thank you from the city of Rio de Janeiro, the construction workers who built the stadium will be the first to kick the ball around.
The match is set for April 27 with the two teams of workers being coached by former strikers Ronaldo and Bebeto.
The new stadium will hold 80,000, and the first official match is set to be between Brazil an England on June 2.
