Those that participate in the organization contribute one percent of annual sales directly to any of the approved non-profit environmental organizations in the network.
The non-profits are based on referrals, track records and sustainability focus. More than 3,000 non-profits worldwide are involved with the program.
Terry Kellogg, CEO of 1% for the Planet, says as that members of the company have contributed approximately $100 million of critically needed funds over a 10-year timeframe.
