Camera Designed for Extreme Environments

Updated Aug 1, 2013

CameraRugged Cams has introduced a camera designed for rough conditions.

The Ruff-Ride Mobile PTZ is an infrared outdoor pan, tilt, zoom camera that is designed to withstand extreme weather conditions.

The camera is also designed to work through constant movement and vibration, such as construction equipment, machinery and vehicles.

Protected by an outer case, the camera is hermetically sealed with an ingress protection (IP) rating of 67. Because of this, the seal can protect the camera from dust grains and water.

Withstanding temperatures as low as -50 degrees and as high as 160 degrees, the camera includes a hidden windshield wiper to keep the lens free of rain, snow or ice.

The PTZ is also equipped with a SONY 36X day/night zoom camera and has a 12X digital zoom.

The camera can operate on a 12V DC current, but it can also operate anywhere from 9 volts up to 30 volts.
