Rooftop In China Might Be Too Green

One high-rise in China will be getting a makeover, but not in the way most people think.

Atop a 26-story building in Beijing sits an 8,600-square-foot rock-covered rooftop that China says has to come down, according to BBC News.

After residents at the villa complained that they thought the structure was unsafe, the State-run China Daily said the structure was built without proper permissions.

The owner said he did not build a permanent concrete attachment to the existing building and did not get permission to build a small sunroom.

The city has asked that the structure be removed by Aug. 27 or it will be demolished.
