Paver Helps Project Win BIA Award

PHB - Sutton Park Overview

One Florida project became a success by going green and ultimately winning an industry award with the help of one paver.

Pine Hall Brick’s StormPave permeable paver was chosen for a project that won the Brick in Architecture Gold Award from the Brick Industry Association (BIA).

The pavers were used in Sutton Park, which is located in Palmetto, Florida. The park received the award in the Paving & Landscape Architecture category.

The award recognized architecture firm Moore2Design, landscape architect Allison-Gause, builder Stellar Development, brick manufacturer Pine Hall Brick Company, distributor Ruck Brothers/Oldcastle Coastal and mason contractor Timo Brothers Paving.

The Sutton Park project included green construction and minimizes stormwater runoff.

Featuring permeable pavers, LED lighting, drought-tolerant landscaping and low-volume irrigation, the project used the StormPave pavers to cover 23,000 square feet to help with the stormwater runoff.
