The group will be having its free agricultural webinar series, which brings in water-use experts to discuss current and future challenges and opportunities facing irrigated agriculture.
The five-part series began back in June and the next session is slated for Sept. 26.
Titled “The Energy and Water Efficiency Nexus,” the webinar is free for everyone and participants are eligible to earn one tier one CEU toward IA certification.
The webinar will be from 2-3 p.m. EDT and feature Dr. David Zoldoske , Director Center for Irrigation Technology, California State University, Fresno and Rob Sampson, PE National Water Management Engineer, USDA-NRCS.
“Energy and water are inherently connected, with agricultural irrigation efficiency playing a critical role in promoting both energy and water-use efficiency,” according to the Irrigation Association. “In The Energy and Water Efficiency Nexus, industry experts will identify opportunities to use efficient irrigation tools and techniques to make irrigated agriculture more energy efficient.”
