IA Adds Two Online Courses to Lineup

logoThe Irrigation Association has introduced two online courses and classroom resources into its program.

Irrigated Soils and an updated version of Intro to Pumps has been added to its catalog and are available online and as an in-classroom resource.

Irrigated Soils details the understanding of soils, classifications, physical properties and describes how those soil properties relate to irrigation.

Introduction to Pumps is a course that covers centrifugal pumps, which is the most common type used in irrigation systems. The course was revised to include the most current technical information.

Irrigation Association offers a variety of classes, including:

  • Online learning — classes and irrigation seminars available online 24/7.
  • Pre-Approved CEUs —  Seminars and workshops are offered by Rain Bird International – Services Division, Landscape Expo 2013 and the Mokan Sports Turf Managers Association. Classes will be held throughout the early fall in Arizona, California, Oklahoma and Texas just to name a few.
  • Paper-and-pencil certification exams — available at locations across the country from IA-licensed providers.
