The company received the international 2013 Stockholm Industry Water Award for its efforts to mitigate world hunger through the use of dripline irrigation in agriculture.
The 2013 Stockholm Industry Water Award recognized Netafim’s approach to sustainable water management, as well as the development of new products and technologies to improve agricultural irrigation.
The company has dripline irrigation in approximately 25 million acres of farmland worldwide, and has 16 manufacturing plants in North and South America, Israel, Europe and Asia.
Netafim is the first irrigation manufacturer to receive the award.
